Chosen Brief: Film Marketing 

A cross - media production to market and promote a new film in a genre or (sub-genre) of choice. 

Task 1 : Print

Chosen Genre: Drama

Title: 7/7

Tagline: 784 injuries, 58 minutes, 56 deaths, 4 bombers, 3 stations, 1 bus, ONE CITY

Target Audience: 25-44 year olds

Film Topic: The film i have chosen to promote is called 7/7 which I chosen to base around the 7/7 bombing which happened in London on the 7th July in 2005 between 8.49am and 9.47am. The bombings lasts 58 minutes and caused a vast number of deaths and injuries. 

The tragic event took place 10 years ago, to which four suicide bombers with rucksacks full of explosives attacked central London, killing 56 people and injuries hundreds. It was the worst single terrorist atrocity on British sit.

Film Posters 

Two Posters for theatrical release in different countries to promote a new film.

I have chosen to design a poster in portrait and landscape which are promoted in the UK and the country of France or the Netherlands.

Both portrait and landscape posters will consist of the original title for the film and tagline, at least one main image (original and different from the images on the DVD/Blu-Ray cover), an element of narrative, for example enigma, the release date, billing block and the production company logo and the details of awards/quotes from critics.

Brief 3 : Film Marketing A cross-media production to market and promote a new film in a genre (or sub-genre/hybrid) of your choice.  Create print marketing materials for a new film and associated audio/audio-visual or online material to promote the same film.  You should create a cross-media production for an independent film company (e.g. DNA or Bold Films) targeting a global adult audience of 25-4 year olds.  The cost-media production must not include a complete short film, film sequence or trailer.  Task 1 : PRINT  Create a DVD or Blu-Ray front and back cover and two posters for theatrical release in different countries promoting your new film.  Length: 4 pages (note: the front and back cover count as one page each).
